Entry 5

Pictures (:

After consultation with Mrs June Yeo, we did the GL journal data entry. We were struggling with the void cheques and we don't know what to do. Hopefully we will figure it out soon. On a happier note, we were finally able to start with our theory report :D

Entry 3

Today was yet another meeting for CAS. We continued with the GL transactions and keyed in recurring entries. After which, I helped with keying the necessary entries in the AP and AR modules. Much consultation was done with the teachers to clear our doubts. We worked till around 9 pm.

Pictures of us working on the project:

I learnt that we have to really put in more concentration when doing the project so that we can be more efficient. Time management is very important. I also had a better understanding of the AR and AP modules after today :))

Entry 2

It's the third meeting for this project. I helped to set up the Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payable module and enter General Ledger transactions. Before entering the transactions, we analysed the double entries for the source documents and determined which entries should go into the GL Journal Entry. We also faced some difficulties in our project.

I learnt that teamwork is important and group members must be understanding towards one another so that we can have a happy time working together. We must also be careful when doing the project and backup our data as often as possible.

Entry 1

Yesterday, my group met up for CAS project. We decided to redo and start from scratch again because of some errors. Thank goodness we didn't do much during the previous meeting. I helped to set up the Chart of Accounts and GL module, enter the opening balances and identify recurring entries.

I learnt that good coordination is important among group members to ensure that the entries keyed in are correct. Smooth communication is also necessary when we are having discussions.
